Week 3, The Good, The Bad, &, The Ugly. Saddle up ladies & gentlemen, here we go.
The Perfect gif to describe what Jets fans go through.
The Good: I feel as if I'm required to post something good about each game since it is apart of the title, so let me give it a try.
1) Braxton Berrios: He was the only skill player that actually showed some production yesterday. Second week in a row that he caught a TD by improvising while Darnold was scrambling. Berrios finished the day with a 4-64-1 stat line upping his season total to, 10-123-2. I like Berrios & not just because he play for my beloved Miami Hurricanes. He's a shifty player who does well on quick routes & getting himself open when a play breaks down. Now am I saying he is a top 2 or 3 WR for the team? Absolutely not. But he can make a living in the NFL as a WR4 as well as a solid PR. I hope he keeps up the production, it be nice to have one skill player do something this year.
2) Mekhi Becton: He's the LT for the next decade plus. The guy just mauls people from the snap. Do yourself a favor & watch him block on Darnold's TD to Berrios, it's a thing of beauty. I'm currently praying to the football gods his shoulder injury is not that serious because if he is out for an extended period of time, it's going to get even uglier for the Jets offense.

Immediate yelling at the TV after this INT.
The Bad: This may take a while.....
1) Sam Darnold: I like Darnold, I really do & I think the Jets have failed him since day 1, but he has to play better. Yes, he has a coach who does not belong anywhere near an NFL sideline, Skill players who would struggle against high school CB's, & had an atrocity of an OLine for his first two years in the league, but he's continuing to make the same mistakes. On both pick-6's he forced the ball to a WR that wasn't open. Yea there seemed to be miscommunication on both picks between him & the WR, but you just can't force it there. The one that got me was the pick in the red zone. That was brutal to watch. He never saw Rhodes & should have lofted the ball to the back corner for Cager instead of trying to dart it in there. Also, if he scanned the field, he would have saw a WIDE open Chris Herndon in the end zone. I was happy that Darnold tucked the ball in & took off more, but other than that, he made too many mistakes to not hold him somewhat accountable this week. Again, the Jets organization has failed him miserably, but he has to try & step up more & cut down on the mistakes.
2) WR's/TE's: Note: Berrios is excluded from this grouping. They stink, plain & simple. None of them get open, & when they do, they drop the ball. I don't even know if Josh Malone played a single offensive snap yesterday & he was WR4 for this game. WOW that's bad. The group of Chris Hogan, Lawrence Cager, Ryan Griffin, & Herndon had a combined stat line of: 5-56-0 on 14 targets. Berrios almost outmatched them & he only had 4 targets! Herndon & Griffin both had horrible drops on 3rd down which killed drives. Griffin is getting paid $11mil to do nothing this season. I see getting cut this offseason in the near future for him. Herndon has really disappointed me. I really thought he was going to have a big year for the Jets & he has proven me wrong for 3 straight weeks now. He has to get going for this offense to resemble anything like an NFL Offense. I think Hogan would still get shut down by my friend, he just can't separate from the DB. Finally, I think all the hype surrounding Cager is over already. There was a reason he went undrafted & needs to show more if he wants to stick around.
3) The Entire Defense/Gregg Williams: The play with NO heart. They're just going through the motions out there. Blown assignment after blown assignment & miss tackles after miss tackles. It's an eye sore having to watch them. And I do not want to hear that they're missing Mosley & Adams. Mosley played 3 quarters last year & if you have watched a Seahawks game this season, you've seen Adams get exposed in coverage. This defensive unit is just hot trash. Phillip Rivers had all the time in the world yesterday to throw because there was ZERO pass rush. I truly believe Rivers could've dropped back, tie his shoes, read his 20 children a bedtime story, & then throw the ball that's how lousy the rush was. 15 season of no pass rush, when will it change. Gregg Williams is apart of the problem too. He's not mixing it up & adjusting to what he has. If it wasn't for how bad Gase as done this season, Williams would be taking a lot more heat. He has been just as bad. Good lord this defense STINKS

The "Offensive Genius" has ruined Darnold.
The Ugly: BUCKLE UP!
1) Adam Gase: He should really have his own section, but I'll just leave him here. Once again, HE SUCKS. "Offensive Genius" WHAT A JOKE! Gase has no business being an NFL Head Coach. It's pathetic watching him coach this team. The Jets have 0 life, 0 heart, & 0 passion right now & it all falls on Gase. I cannot believe he hasn't been fired yet. C'mon Chris Johnson, you can't keep defending this pathetic excuse of an NFL head coach. I won't even get into specifics of what he did wrong yesterday, because if you have any sort of football knowledge you know that he just SUCKS. Look at the Jets offensive rankings this season, they're all 31 & 32. But Gase is an "Offensive Genius", an "Offensive Guru", a "QB Whisperer, & has a "Brilliant Offensive Mind". WHAT A LOAD OF BULL! I can honestly say that I venomously HATE Adam Gase. He has all but ruined Sam Darnold & has taken away any fun watching the Jets every week. I haven't even heard his excuses yet this week but I'm sure they'll be pathetic as always. Good lord Adam Gase SUCK!
2) Joe Douglas: Once again, I'm not giving up on JD, but he needs to be held accountable. This roster is pathetic. Yes he improved the OL, but how did he think this WR group would be good? I know Perriman, Crowder, Mims, Smyth, & Smith are all hurt, but even when they're back, how big of a difference is it even going to make? Again, JD made a huge mistake not taking another WR in the draft. With such a deep WR class, he could've found a productive play maker in rounds 3-5. Drafting James Morgan was not needed. There were/are too many holes to fill to be drafting a backup QB in Round 4. I was shocked when he didn't draft a WR after Mims then & I still am now & it is coming back to haunt him. Douglas better have a master plan moving forward or else his seat is going to get scorching hot awfully fast.
3) Peyton Manning: Why did he make that phone call to Chris Johnson endorsing Gase? Manning is pure evil!
Well everyone, that's it for this weeks edition of The Good, The Bad, & The Ugly. I looked up a '21 Mock Draft last night, that's how bad it's gotten already. The nice thing is that we only have to wait 4 days to watch the Jets lose again. HOORAY! I will be doing the Week 4 edition of this on Friday. Hopefully I get to follow that up with an article celebrating Gase getting fired, but that may be too much to ask for. Until next time Jets faithful & remember....... #TakeFlight

Gase SUCKS!
