The Jets are 0-8......

Cue the Bon Jovi music!

We all knew that this game was going to be a bloodbath, so let's jump right in to this weeks edition of The Good, The Bad, & The Ugly.

Another good game for the rookie WR

The Good: This one will be short

1) Denzel Mims: Second week in a row that the rookie WR has had a nice game. After missing the first 6 games of the season with hamstring problems, Mims has done a solid job stepping right in & producing Now, you may look at his boxscore & think I'm crazy since his final stat line was 2-42, but that was on ONLY 3 targets, which I'll talk about later. Also, with both Jamison Crowder & Breshad Perriman out, Mims was the de facto #1 WR yesterday which resulted in the Chiefs game planning around him. Both catches Mims made were stellar & you can see that he has all the potential to be a very good WR in the NFL.

2) Quinnen Williams & John Franklin Myers: The Jets have themselves a dynamic IDL duo in these too. Both Q & JFM were in the Chiefs backfield constantly yesterday & they finished the game with a combined 6 tackles & 2 tackles for loss. Q nearly had a sack of Patrick Mahomes, but he tossed it away at the last minute, even though I thought his knee was done. JFM blew past the Chiefs OL to stuff Lev Bell on a 3rd down play. Both these IDL pack the punch & if the Jets can surround them with two EDGE players, then you'll see both take their game to the next level.

Darnold under pressure yet again

The Bad: I'll keep this one short too.

1) Jeff Smith: Rough day for the young WR. He finished the day with 3-29 on 8 targets, but he getting off the LOS for the majority of the game. Also, he ran a TON of poor routes, which caused errant throw from Sam Darnold and two close INT's. Now I don't think Smith will ever be a top 3 WR, but if he wants to continue to be a WR4/5, then he has to do a better job with his routes & getting off the LOS. After a solid performance against the Broncos, it's been downhill ever since. Hopefully he can turn it around.

2) Interior Offensive Line: Not a good day for Alex Lewis, Greg Van Routen, & Conor McGovern. The Chiefs had constant pressure up the middle & Darnold was constantly under duress. The interior offensive line has been a big time struggle this year for the Jets & is definitely an area that will need to be addressed this offseason.

**Side Note: Why is it that defensive players can hit Darnold late without drawing a roughing a passer penalty? CBS showed a clip of Darnold under pressure yesterday & after every throw he was driven into the ground a solid 2-3 seconds after the throw. This is starting to get ridiculous & the refs need to clean it up!

An image all too familiar: the Offensive Genius staring at his play sheet

The Ugly: This is a long one.

1) Adam Gase: I always start with the, "brilliant offensive mind". He hasn't called the plays in two weeks, so what in fact does he do the entire game? Gase SUCKS simple as that. He has zero clue how to lead a team & the only thing that he's good at is making excuses. His quote after the game yesterday of, "I'm doing this job to win, not to get my face stomped in". HA HA HA HA, what a JOKE. This is coming from the guy who has more loses by 20+ points (8), than he does wins (7) with the Jets. Gase SUCKS!

2) Gregg Williams: Williams is almost as BIG of a bum as Gase. He's just a loud mouth who blames every one else, just like Gase. The Jets defense has been putrid this year & he's done nothing to fix it. I'm actually shocked he hasn't been fired yet as well.

3) Chris Herndon: Even though I'm a BIG Miami Hurricanes fan, I can no longer defend Herndon. He looks terrible out there. Herndon showed so much promise his rookie year & he has fallen flat on his face since then. Yes, the TE position is barely used in this offense, but when he does get opportunities, he either drops or fumbles the ball. Herndon has 8 games left to prove himself or else the Jets will be looking for a new TE this offseason.

4) Dowell Loggains: How many more bubble screen on 3rd down are Jets fans going to see?!? Also, why is Braxton Berrios the focal point of the offense & not Denzel Mims? Loggains, like Gase, should never coach in the NFL again.

5) Jets LB's & CB's: They were a dumpster fire yesterday. Patrick Mahomes picked them apart the entire game, & there was nothing they could do about it. I just saw a stat that Avery Williamson was thrown at 13 times & allowed 13 catches The fact that Joe Douglas got a 5th round pick for him is a heist, because Williamson can't cover air. Neville Hewitt is just as bad. All I hear is how he's a tackling machine, but maybe he gets all these tackles because he's allowing the man he's covering to catch the ball. Regarding the secondary, the Jets need 2-3 new CB's next year depending on how Bryce Hall does once he starts playing. I won't even talk about them individually because we all witnessed how bad they were yesterday.

6) The Johnson Brothers: SELL THE TEAM!

7) Peyton Manning: This is your fault. I hate you & your new Tide commercial SUCKS!

The Jets have ruined the Franchise QB

Alright that's it for another edition of The Good, The Bad, & The Ugly. I didn't include Darnold anywhere because what can he really do out there with the cards severely stacked against him? The Jets play again next Monday night against the Patriots, & we all know how that goes whenever they play them on MNF. Be ready for a fire sale this week, I'm all for it. I'll see you all next week Jets fans & remember........ #TakeFlight

FIRE THIS BUM!!!
